History

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration is a bachelor's degree program aimed at providing academic and professional qualifications. Our department started its education in the 2013-2014 Academic year. In the 2015-2016 academic year, students were enrolled in the second education.

The quota of the first academic program is 60 people and the quota of the second educational program is 50 people. Admission to the department is granted to students from the type of AYT score determined by OSYM within the framework of the relevant legislation of the Higher Education Council. The language of education of the department is Turkish. The department has an optional English preparatory program, the duration of education is four years, and 240 ECTS must be completed in order to graduate from the department.

The Master's program in Political Science and Public Administration has been opened with and without a dissertation, and master's degree education with a dissertation is continuing. In addition, a doctoral program has been opened in postgraduate education. The aim of the doctoral program is to carry the academic knowledge and method given in the department of Political Science and Public Administration, which includes different disciplines, to an advanced level. In addition, the doctoral program in Political Science and Public Administration assesses the relationships between social, economic, cultural and political problems in a broad perspective, provides alternative solution suggestions and allows students to gain a critical perspective. Deconstructing the learning processes, an interdisciplinary approach consisting of theoretical and practical courses covering the fields of public administration is offered. People interested in Political Science and Public Administration are provided with both theoretical and practical education. In the program; it is an important social science discipline that will help to understand the transformations of politics and social sciences at the local levels. There are courses from the departments of political and social sciences, management sciences, legal sciences, urban and environmental problems.
